IB ACIO का पूरा नाम “Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence Officer” है। यह एक प्रतिष्ठित सरकारी पद है, जो भारत सरकार के गृह मंत्रालय (Ministry of Home Affairs) के अधीन खुफिया ब्यूरो (Intelligence Bureau – IB) में कार्य करता है। यह पद ग्रुप ‘C’ (Non-Gazetted) के अंतर्गत आता है, लेकिन इसकी जिम्मेदारियाँ काफी महत्वपूर्ण होती हैं। इस पद के लिए हर साल लाखों उम्मीदवार आवेदन करते हैं क्योंकि यह एक सम्मानजनक और चुनौतीपूर्ण नौकरी है।

IB ACIO बनने के लिए उम्मीदवार का भारत का नागरिक होना अनिवार्य है और न्यूनतम शैक्षणिक योग्यता किसी भी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय से स्नातक (Graduation) होनी चाहिए। साथ ही कंप्यूटर ज्ञान को वरीयता दी जाती है।
चयन प्रक्रिया में तीन मुख्य चरण होते हैं:
- Tier I (ऑब्जेक्टिव टेस्ट): इसमें सामान्य ज्ञान, तर्कशक्ति, संख्यात्मक योग्यता, और अंग्रेजी शामिल होती है।
