भारतीय जीवन बीमा निगम, जिसे हम एलआईसी (LIC) के नाम से जानते हैं, भारत सरकार के स्वामित्व वाली एक बीमा कंपनी है। इसकी स्थापना 1 सितंबर 1956 को की गई थी, जब भारत सरकार ने देश की 245 निजी बीमा कंपनियों का राष्ट्रीयकरण करके एक एकल संस्था – एलआईसी – का गठन किया। इसका मुख्यालय मुंबई, महाराष्ट्र में स्थित है।
